The private Manyeleti Nature Reserve boasts one of the lowest vehicle densities in the Greater Kruger region. Sharing an unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park, guests are spoiled with uninterrupted Big 5 game viewing experiences in a pristine, untouched African wilderness. The eight suites at Tintswalo Safari Lodge have been authentically designed to evoke the adventures of the early African explorers after which they are named. Close to the main lodge, the 5-bedroom Tintswalo Manor House presents an exclusive and fully-catered villa for families or groups of friends keen to experience a tailor-made stay.

Tintswalo Safari Lodge is situated along a seasonal river bed among an ancient sycamore tree grove. The exquisitely appointed main lodge overlooks a waterhole frequented by all the large game as well as all the cats. The viewing deck at Safari Lodge offers our guests a phenomenal opportunity to photograph the animals at the water hole in front of the lodge on a daily basis in very close proximity. The Explorer Suites are all linked to the main lodge by raised wooden walkways creating a walkway that offers real ease of access to all the suites, the spa and the main lodge building.

Explorer Suites- The Tintswalo suites are authentically decorated to recall the pioneering times of the nineteenth-century African explorers. The air-conditioned suites are situated along the banks of the seasonal Nwaswitsontso River. Providing supreme comfort, privacy and effortless birding, as well as the opportunity to view a large variety of big game from the privacy of your suite. The indoor/outdoor shower leads off from the spacious bathroom which opens out onto the deck. Luxuriate in a private plunge pool or just relax on a lounger under the African Sun.

Game Drives & Walks- Game viewing at Tintswalo takes place on foot or in individually seated open landrovers.The vehicles are equipped with spot lights for night viewing, radios for communication with the lodge and other guides and of course mosquito repellent.Individual blankets are always provided for the night chill.Walks in the reserve are guided through the ever changing environment of the African bush. This experience allows the guest the opportunity to come away with information on wildlife, nature enlightenment and insight into the local Shangaan traditions; this is only obtainable with an ‘on the ground’ experience.All our experienced guides are FGASA accredited; they are always accompanied by skilled trackers who know their surrounding well.

Access- Access to Tintswalo can be arranged via daily commercial flights from Johannesburg International Airport to Eastgate Airport, or scheduled charter flights to the Tintswalo Lodge private airstrip on the Manyeleti Reserve. Direct charter can also be arranged from other destinations. For our guests doing a self drive itinerary, Tintswalo is accessible by tar road to the main entrance gate of the Manyeleti.

• Bookings made 30 days or less prior to arrival, require 100% pre-payment.
• Special event bookings & requests (ie. 2010 World Cup) will be dealt with on an individual basis.
• All executive boardroom and function bookings require full pre-payment prior to arrival.
