Fogo Island Inn's dining room was named among the top three "Best New Restaurants" in Canada by enRoute magazine. Led by Executive Chef Timothy Charles, the Inn's culinary team is responsible for the Inn’s 48-seat dining room, 35-seat lounge and, for on- and off-site catering. The team finds inspiration in the ocean’s bounty, from ingredients grown on the island, and from Fogo Island’s time-honoured outport cooking traditions. Everything coming out of the kitchen is handmade – sausage, bread, baked goods, bacon, and mustards. The menu changes with the wind and the waves and the seven seasons: a culinary mission that respects and celebrates the profound gift of place that is Fogo Island.

Access to Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Canada:

Gander, Newfoundland is the international gateway to Fogo Island. Commercial flights from Toronto, with connections in St. John’s or Halifax, can bring travellers to Gander (YQX) in just over four hours. Those coming from the United States or Europe may prefer to arrive into St. John’s (YYT) or Halifax (YHZ) the evening before. The Inn offers a land-and-ferry house-car pick up and return service to Gander for $1000 (1-4 person capacity). Travel from Gander to Fogo Island takes two hours by car or around 30 minutes by charter plane or helicopter. For guests looking to combine their Fogo Island Inn stay with another destination in Canada, the following cities are easily accessible with Air Canada flights: Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, St. John's and Toronto.

• For cancellations made from the time of booking up to 31 days prior to arrival, the Inn will issue a credit (not a refund) for the full value of your non-refundable deposit, to be applied toward a future stay. This credit will remain valid for one year from your original planned arrival date and will expire thereafter. The credit is fully transferable should you wish to share it with someone else.
• Within 30 days of arrival, we are unable to make changes to the booking or issue a credit for cancellations. All deposits paid will remain non-refundable.
• If for any reason beyond the control of the Inn we are unable to welcome you on your reservation dates, the Inn will issue a credit for the full value of your deposit for a future stay as specified above.

Should your personal circumstances be such that a stay at the Inn is not possible before your credit with us expires, you may choose to re-direct the full value of your deposit to a donation to Shorefast.
