Arising from the mediaeval village of only three inhabitants, it was entirely revamped in 2019 with 26 rooms, suites and villas. Remains of the St Cantianus chapel found in the close vicinity served as an inspiration for the name, while the design honors traditional Istrian architecture and culture.

Twenty-six rooms, suites and villas are individually styled and inspired by the aesthetics of an old stone-built Istrian village. With local traditions as endless source of inspiration, hotel's Michelin-recommended Luciano Restaurant celebrates the gourmet heritage of Istria. The young and talented chef Pavo Klarić and his team add a sophisticated touch to local flavors and create a haven of culinary mastery. The menu emphasizes local stars such as truffles, cheeses and award-winning oil and wines, while flirting with creative cuisine. A walk-in wine cellar features over 600 labels, from indigenous sorts to international favorites.
