About

NoMad London takes residence inside the historic, grade II-listed building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station. Many notable guests have been trialled within these walls, such as Oscar Wilde, The Suffragettes, Dame Vivienne Westwood and the Kray Brothers.

The iconic building has transformed into a 91-room hotel with much of the original architectural features preserved and woven into the design. Romantic and refined, the property offers a unique and meaningful experience, interplaying it’s masculine character with glamour, femininity through layered design and a true cosmopolitan spirit.

A collaboration with New York-based interior design studio Roman and Williams, the transformation of the storied 19th century building draws inspiration from its history and location in Covent Garden, as well as exploring the artistic and cultural connection between London and New York. Nestled opposite one of the world’s greatest opera companies, much of the hotel’s interiors as well as its expertly curated arts programme was inspired by, and give nod to, this wonderful proximity.

The art programme celebrates the influence of post-war American art and European avant-garde, exploring the exchange of creative ideas between London and New York.

Food and beverage offerings celebrate the grand and the intimate, classical and colloquial, festive moments of revelry and quiet meals that nourish the spirit. The menus are a reflection of the season, the place and the gracious, creative talent of the NoMad team that bring it all to life.

At the heart of NoMad, our main dining room, Twenty8 NoMad, celebrates moments of New York nostalgia with French brasserie influence, set amongst a modern-day palm court. Led by Executive Chef Zak Gregoire, Twenty8 Nomad captures the spirit of both London and New York culinary innovation with timeless hospitality. During the day, the lush space is flooded with natural daylight providing warmth and energy; in the evening, the room transforms to a more intimate setting, revealing its moody, sensual and lively character.

Set in the building’s former Police Station, Side Hustle offers casual dining and drinks in a lively setting, with a menu influenced by the flavours of Latin America and an extensive collection of agave-based spirits.

The Library, also known as the the living room of the hotel, is an intimate space serving light fare through breakfast and lunch and small plates during the evening, coffee and teas by day, cocktails and wine by night.

NoMad London is honoured to offer treatments by the hotel’s spa residency partner, Katie England.

To honour the property’s significant history, Bow Street Police Museum was created within the building as an independent museum and registered charity. It is open to the public and guests of NoMad receive complimentary access.
