INFORMATION FOR GUESTS VISITING KASBAH TAMADOT
Overview and setting - Situated in the spectacular Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the award-winning Kasbah Tamadot was bought by Sir Richard Branson during one of his famous ballooning expeditions. To the north extends a steep river valley with sheer rocky limestone and forested mountains, contrasting with the view of the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains on the southern side. To the east, across the river, you can see the traditional Berber village of Tansghart built into the side of the mountain. Kasbah Tamadot employs local Berber staff from the surrounding villages, giving guests a sense of staying in a Moroccan home rather than a hotel.
Where we are? - Kasbah Tamadot is approximately 45-minutes drive from Marrakech Airport and approximately 1 hour from central Marrakech in the Atlas Mountains just beyond the village of Asni. We can arrange luxury car transfers between Marrakech airport and other points in the city to Kasbah Tamadot. You can also rent a car if you wish to drive yourself, and all the roads to us are sealed. Helicopter transfers can be arranged on request.
Guest rooms - Each of our rooms and suites has been individually decorated to reflect the beautiful architecture of the building and features antiques from all over the world, marrying the traditional charm of Moroccan design with contemporary elements.
History - Kasbah Tamadot was the former home of Luciano Tempo who purchased the property and filled it with beautiful antiques from India, Africa and the Far East. In 1998 Richard Branson went to Morocco with the goal of circumnavigating the globe in a hot air balloon. Whilst there, his parents found a beautiful Kasbah and eventually convinced him to purchase the property. Kasbah Tamadot is now one of Morocco’s most sought after hideaways, and its peaceful surroundings are reflected in the name, which means ‘soft breeze’ in Berber.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your booking at any time up to 30 days prior to your proposed arrival date, we will refund any monies received by us less a 30% cancellation penalty. If you cancel your booking between 30 and 15 days prior to your proposed arrival date, we will refund any monies paid to us less a 50% cancellation penalty. If you cancel your booking within 14 days of your proposed arrival date no refund will be given. Sometimes special offers or packages have different cancellation conditions so please check with your local reservations office.
