About
Perched on the cliff edge, a thousand feet above the sea surrounding Capri, Caesar Augustus was originally built in the 1850s as the private residence of a wealthy German businessman. In the early 1900s, a Russian Prince purchased the property and turned it into his majestic island home, complete with life-size statue of Emperor Augustus. The hotel was transformed into a hotel in the mid 20th century and is now considered one of Italy's finest luxury hotels.
An intimate Relais & Chateaux, Caesar Augustus has just 55 individually appointed guest rooms, almost all of which boast amazing views of the Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento and the neighboring island of Ischia.
On the sun-kissed island of Capri, lunch is invariably eaten "al fresco". At Ceasar Augustus, fantastically fresh fish and flavor-packed pasta is served on the cliff edge terraces next to the hotel's world-famous infinity pool! In the evening, guests dine at La Terrazza di Lucullo, enjoying wonderfully healthy, zero mile cuisine, prepared using the delicious sun-ripened fruit and vegetables grown in the hotel's large organic kitchen garden.

Concierge service:
The hotel's concierge organizes transfers by car and public hydrofoil, by private boat or by helicopter. Free time activities include walking tours with a private guide, boat excursions in traditional gozzo boat or motor yacht, and visits to the Blue Grotto, Villa Jovis and the Faraglioni.
