About
In 1970, tucked into the hillside on Mount Igeldo in San Sebastián, AKELARRE Pedro Subijana was born. A restaurant that holds 3 Michelin Stars since 2007, after 25 years with two Michelin Stars. As of 2017 it also has rooms, a spa and a new bar and restaurant with large terraces.
Excellence, innovation and avant-garde
These 3 terms might well define AKELARRE’s character, always inspired by anunrelenting commitment to excellence. A constant pursuit of improvement andperfection that makes us challenge everything and wonder why not to do thingsdifferently.
This approach encouraged us to enrich the Akelarre experience by complementing our culinary offerings with a unique 5-star luxury accommodation proposal.
This is how AKELARRE Hotel, one of the few hotels in the world with its own 3 star Michelin restaurant, was born.
“For us, every guest is unique…That client has come to my home today. Today is their day…”
